# Osaka falls to the Tokugawa (1615)

Tokugawa forces destroyed the Toyotomi stronghold at Osaka after winter and summer campaigns. Hideyori and his mother Yodo-dono died. The victory removed the principal alternative focus of allegiance and helped consolidate the new order.
